Bangladesh beat Pakistan 2-0 in test series, WTC point table updated

Bangladesh achieved a historic feat on Tuesday as they defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the second Test of the two-match series. With this win, Bangladesh clinched the series with a score of 2-0, which also happened to be their first clean sweep against an Asian team in their own backyard. Pakistan, looking to make a strong comeback after suffering a 10-wicket defeat in the first Test, failed to live up to expectations in the second match of the series.

This loss had some adverse effect on Pakistan’s World Test Championship standings as they remain stagnant at the eighth spot (second-lowest) with 16 points from seven matches. On the other hand, Bangladesh are placed sixth with 33 points from six matches. Team India are currently at the top of the table with 68.52 points from 9 matches, while Australia are placed second with 62.5 points from 12 matches..
